1895 Steinway & Sons Model B art-case

1 / 5

Gorgeous art-case Steinway and Sons model B from 1895 in mahogany fully restored. This piano was purchased from Country Piano in Watkins Glen New York in 1998 after undergoing full restoration. It received a new soundboard, bridges, strings, action felts, new exterior finish, new Steinway brass pedals and a new Renner action including new hammers, shanks, knuckles, whippens and dampers at that time. It has been fitted with the incredible sounding G & C bass strings giving this instrument the clearest and most powerful bass section possible for a piano of this size. It has its original ivory keys in excellent condition and is fitted with a Piano Lifesaver humidity control system. This piano has been used for at least 40 home concerts and played by several famous pianists including Phillipe Entremont and Earle Wild. Its singing quality is one of its best features with an especially clear treble section. The piano technician owner is aging and has decided to sell this piano after 28 years of ownership. Included is a coordinating Jansen duet concert bench with matching brown leather seat. The instrument is located in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
