That work is where the numbers on this site come from: watching what people actually pay for used pianos, market by market, and which instruments move and which sit. The value guides and articles here are written from that vantage point, and every price you see in them is drawn live from the listings currently on the site — not from a static chart.
How we handle numbers
Prices and counts in our guides come from live listings on this site and are recalculated hourly. Where we quote industry-typical figures (mover quotes, tuning fees, rebuild costs) we say so, and we never publish a number we haven't measured or sourced.
