The Model 130 T, known for more than 90 years, is the most successful Steingraeber upright and is acoustically equivalent to a 160 cm (5 ft. 3 in.) baby grand. Music academies and universities are regular customers for this “ersatz grand piano.” It is often preferred over comparably priced, mass-produced studio grand pianos, because it is mechanically on a par with them, yet has a fuller sound. . It is mechanically superior to mass-produced studio grand pianos, and it has a markedly fuller sound. The basic models are: 130 T-PS with Sostenuto pedal 130 T-SFM with Steingraeber-Ferro-Magnet Action This piano can also be custom-ordered with chamber-music bass dampening, which allows for exceptionally precise ‘secco’ (dry) playing. Note: All veneer finishes are custom-made-to-order by Steingraeber and are typically produced on a 6-9 month timeline.
