A Premium Yamaha U3 Design The Yamaha UX is a premium variant of the classic Yamaha U3 design, featuring the following upgraded elements: - Radial ('X' Back) Post Design: Adds additional strength to the structure of the cabinet and helps to retain the crown of the soundboard from additional angles compared to standard vertical posts. - Unique Cabinet Styling: Diagonal arm design (on either side of the keyboard). The radial support-post design provides additional strength and support in comparison to the traditional center post style due to the fact that it uses multiple posts instead of a set of vertical ones. The extra posts spread out the weight more evenly and reduce stress on certain parts of the cabinet, which ultimately results in greater longevity for the piano itself. Additionally, this design allows for greater soundboard exposure. As a result, this design produces enhanced sound quality by distributing weight more evenly throughout the cabinet and provides players with a richer tone that translates into deeper bass notes and sparkling clear trebles.
