1962 Steinway & Sons "D" Fully Restored Concert Grand

If you’ve ever attended a classical music concert with a professional symphony, you’ve likely heard Steinway’s Model D concert grand. Whether you’re a Steinway fan or not, this is the model found in a large percentage of concert halls around the world. It is an iconic instrument. We have on offer here a relatively young, vintage Model D that has been fully restored; brought back to performance level with everything needed to refresh a piano of this caliber. From a new action, hammers and shanks, flanges, bushings, new strings, new pinblock and pins, refinished and repainted cast iron plate, and a new polished ebony finish – it has all been done. At nearly 9’ in length this piano will not fit in most spaces… But if you do have the space, and the desire for a true concert-level performance piano, or you love vintage Steinways, or you’re a serious pianist that wants top quality – come play this piano. If you have an ambitious music venue, restaurant, club, or a recording studio or teaching facility that could benefit from a high-profile instrument – come play this piano. And if you’ve always wanted a Model D but could not justify the cost of a new one – come play this piano. Compare to New York factory price of $230,700 for a new Model D in polished ebony!
