2014 Wilhelm Schimmel W180T European Conservatory Grand

1 / 8

The Wilhelm line of Schimmel pianos is intended as an entry point for the company’s lauded European sound: a bell-like singing treble and midrange, and a rich, dynamic bass and tenor. These are more affordable than the Konzert and Classic lines because they are assembled in Schimmel’s second factory in Kalisz, Poland, where labor and production costs are lower than Germany. Rims, soundboards, and strings are from Germany; cabinet parts are sourced in Poland, and the Schimmel-designed actions, using Renner hammers, are custom made by their strategic partner, Pearl River. The W180 is a conservatory size 6’ grand. It competes well with Yamaha and Kawai in this mid-price range and offers a significantly different sound that many will find to their liking. Suitable for a serious advanced player, teacher, church, etc. This piano is in excellent condition. Compare to current MSRP of $61,447 for this model!
