Professionally restored antique Wm. Knabe & Co. grand piano, manufactured in Baltimore, Maryland, dating from approximately the late 19th to early 20th century. This distinctive instrument features a natural wood cabinet with unusual hand-painted decorative details, including heraldic shields, floral scrollwork, fleur-de-lis and crown motifs. The piano has already been restored and is being offered in restored condition, rather than as an unrestored project instrument. The original cast-iron plate bears the Wm. Knabe & Co. – Baltimore maker’s mark, reflecting the piano’s American manufacturing heritage. Unlike a standard antique Knabe grand, the decorative cabinet and hand-painted elements give this instrument a particularly distinctive art-case character.
