1988 Steinway & Sons Model B Chippendale

Type: Grand; Size: 6' 11"; Year: 1988. This extraordinary Steinway & Sons Model B was crafted at the New York factory, featuring the elegant Chippendale design, which is rarely seen in this model. Each detail — from the carved cabriole legs to the handsomely designed music desk— reflects Steinway’s highest level of artistry. Unlike standard production models, this piano was specially built to combine concert-level performance with classic furniture design. Very few instruments of this size were ever made, making it a genuine collector’s piece for those who value craftsmanship and distinction. This instrument beautifully showcases the touch and American tonal sound for which Steinways of this era are known. Now finished in gorgeous ebony, this instrument is an opportunity to acquire a truly special Steinway for significantly less than its typical collector and musical value. If you’ve dreamed of a rare Steinway, designed to be both a performance instrument and an heirloom, this is your opportunity. As a bonus, the piano is autographed by the famed pianist Roger Williams and Franz Mohr, one of the world’s most famous piano experts and personal technician to Vladimir Horowitz, Van Cliburn, and Arthur Rubinstein.
