Baldwin Model L Piano: What It's Worth in 2026, Prices & Listings

Size
6'3" (190 cm) grand
Made
The American-built L was made in Cincinnati and later Arkansas from the 1920s until Baldwin's U.S. grand production ended in the 2000s

The Baldwin Model L is the American grand that filled studios, churches and homes for most of the twentieth century: a 6'3" piano with a big, warm tone and a heavier, sturdier build than the Japanese grands that later replaced it in the market.

Used Ls are plentiful and affordable relative to their size. The best examples have been rebuilt; original 1960s–1980s Ls with good maintenance are honest value.
