1998 Baldwin SD-10 Grand ES (Pre-Owned)

The 1998 Baldwin SD-10 is a 9-foot, American-made full concert grand piano, widely regarded as Baldwin’s flagship model and one of the most prestigious instruments in their lineup. Celebrated for its powerful, singing tone, wide dynamic range, and exceptional projection, the SD-10 is designed to meet the demands of professional concert stages, recording studios, and large performance venues. Crafted with a solid one-piece maple rim and a premium Sitka spruce soundboard, the piano delivers resonant, rich bass, clear and sustaining treble, and a balanced tonal palette across all registers. Equipped with German Renner hammers, it offers precise, responsive touch and nuanced control, allowing pianists to execute both delicate passages and fortissimo dynamics with confidence. Produced during Baldwin’s peak late-20th-century manufacturing era, the SD-10 combines robust American construction with world-class performance components, making it a top choice for concert pianists, educators, and professional recording environments. Its combination of tonal depth, expressive range, and durability ensures that it remains a timeless, highly sought-after concert instrument.
