The Steinway Model M is the Steinway most people can actually fit at home: a 5'7" grand introduced in 1911 that has been in continuous production for over a century. It is the best-selling Steinway grand and, on the used market, the most common one.
Vintage Ms from the 1910s–1930s are prized; rebuilt examples from those decades can rival new ones. Unrestored Ms from the same era are project pianos priced accordingly. Recent Ms (1990s on) are valued close to their new price when lightly used.
