The Steinway Model O has two lives: the original New York O of 1902–1924, and the current O reintroduced in 2005 to replace the L. Hamburg made the O continuously in between, which is why Hamburg Os appear on the U.S. market alongside both New York eras.
Early New York Os are among the most sought-after vintage Steinways for rebuilding; modern Os are valued close to new when lightly used.
